Turkey Brook Phase 2 £19,000

    This project will carry out physical improvements identified in the previous Turkey Brook Study. To include general clean up, signage and interpretation and an arts feature alongside green open space of Tottenham Marshes

Markfield Garden Project £50,000 The project aims to redevelop the small area of garden located next to the Markfield project building, to enable it to be used in a more constructive way by both the clients of the Markfield project and the local residents. Jan 2001 March 2002
Teviot and Lansbury Estates £38100 Continuation of the successful Teviots Art project, extending it to the neighbouring but isolated Lansbury estate alongside improvements to 2 open spaces. Jan 2001 March 2002
Access to the Waterways at Fish Island and the Lower Lea £70,000 Contributing to knitting back the connections between the communities and the waterways in the Lower lea Valley which have been severed by the A12. Project to incude works to 2 footbridges and an underpass. Jan 2001 March 2002

St John's Community Garden £32,940 Breakout areas of worn tarmac, restore pathways and associated landscaping. Extend the paving at the south side of the church to create a terrace area for use by cafe customers and other community activities. Oct 2001 June 2002
Leaside Trust £11,000 Improvement of a derelict riverside frontage to enable greater access by Leaside's canoeists including clearance of surfaces, improved access and associated landscaping. Dec 2001 March 2002
Practical Environmental Solutions to Business Site Boundaries £51,500 To improve business boundaries across four Boroughs by developing awareness of the project through the use of facilitators, developing proposals for improvements and implementing these proposals. Dec 2001 June 2002
Markfield Rose Garden £50,000 Replanting of the garden to include seating, wildlife planting Dec 2001 June 2002
Tottenham Marshes Community Project £22,500 The project will meet the identified need for structured community involvement in decision making affecting the Marsh's use and development through an annual festival, biodiversity projects, a newsletter and community consultation. Dec 2001 March 2003
Lincoln Estate Home Zone £57,000 Improvements to green spaces on the estate; physical alterations to streets to slow traffic and improve pedestrian crossing; improved street lighting; improved seating and play areas; tree and flower bed planting. Dec 2001 April 2003
Green Citizens £30,000 A neighbourhood renewal project that will support the establishment of strong and inclusive community groups to improve and maintain green spaces and routes through the employment of 'Green Wardens'. In so-doing it will also strengthen community cohesion, reduce exclusion and develop skills and confidence transferable to the labour market. Oct 2001 Oct 2002
